Hair, Memory, and Meaning: Share Your Story
Hair is more than just something that grows from our heads; it can hold memories, carry cultural meaning, and connect us to loved ones. In many traditions around the world, people save hair, use it in keepsakes, or have special ways of letting it go. I’m interested in learning about these personal and cultural connections to hair, whether you keep it, pass it on, or have rituals for disposing of it.
Your answers will help me explore the emotional, spiritual, and cultural roles hair plays in our lives. I may share these findings in a book to preserve and celebrate the diverse traditions and emotions people have regarding hair.
Please answer as openly and honestly as you feel comfortable. There are no right or wrong answers; every experience matters. You may skip any questions you prefer not to answer. If you choose to share a story, it can be as short or as detailed as you like.
Thank you for contributing to this project. Your perspective is important.
